How much does it cost and who pays?
Our Photo/Video recovery pricing consists of an initial cleaning and stabilization
fee and then a per photo fee of $4.00 which includes digitization & basic image
enhancement, video tapes are $40.00 per tape and for 8mm/Super8 reels we need to
assess the footage and then provide a quote based on the extent of the damage. Further
restoration on individual photos is priced depending on the complexity of the damage.
Customers are only charged for what we can recover plus the initial fee. This service
is usually covered under the contents portion of the homeowner’s insurance policy
and should be reimbursable. Customers should check with their insurance agent.
Cleaning and stabilization includes taking the photos/film out of burnt/damaged
containers, carousels, plastic bags, albums, tape cartridges, reels, etc. Cleaning
each individual photo or piece of film and remounting if necessary for transfer
to digital.
What does the customer get in return?
After the recovery process is finished and all of the salvageable photos have been
digitized your insurance will be billed. Once payment is received, you will receive:
All images placed onto CD/DVD.
Printed Thumbnail Album, with all images in one place for easy reference.
1 year online storage, with the ability to order prints and add more images
for safe keeping.
You can view your images and choose photos for further restoration
(for an additional cost).
Does the customer get their originals back?
It is not recommended to return the damaged materials; however, you can order prints
and enlargements to replace the damaged ones. Although at RecoverMyWorld we can't
guarantee that we can recover everything, we can guarantee we will try our best
to recover everything possible.
